Jo Kelly
Jo Kelly is on a mission to harness the power of seaweed to protect oceans, reduce carbon emissions, create livelihoods in coastal communities and nourish the planet. An industry strategist and impact entrepreneur with over 20 years’ experience in business, Jo is passionate about advancing nature based solutions to deliver environmental, social and economic outcomes at scale.
Jo has an Executive MBA; Bachelor of Environmental Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation. Jo is a Myer Innovation Fellow, AMP Tomorrow Maker for her innovation and leadership. Jo is also in the Steering Committee of the Safe Seaweed Coalition and is an Advisor to the Blue Economy CRC. Jo is also on the Board of the International RiverFoundation charity promoting health of rivers worldwide.
Catriona MacLeod
Associate Professor Catriona Macleod is Head of the Ecology and Biodiversity Centre within IMAS, and a senior research fellow with specific expertise in environmental impact assessment.
A key research focus has been improving understanding of the environmental impacts and interactions of finfish aquaculture, and in providing the system understanding and recommendations to support sustainable development and management of aquaculture operations.
Adam Main
General Manager at CH4 South Australia, Adam has over 20 years of deep experience in the aquaculture world and is an experienced CEO and General Manager.
Prior to joining CH4 Global Adam was General Manager of Aquaculture (@ PIRSA) where he was responsible for leading the operational and strategic directions of the Aquaculture, Policy Planning and Environmental Group.
Academically, Adam completed a double major degree in Marine Biology and Natural Resource Management and holds a PhD in the field of Community Ecology.
Alex Baker
CEO at FutureFeed, Alex has 30 years of experience with private and public companies, primarily in the biotechnology and bioeconomy sectors.
He has previously led companies in the bio-industrial space including biomass-derived renewable chemical technologies and bio-pharmaceutical development.
He has also worked in primary production regulation and medical research.
